Super Bowl & The Market

As we head into Super Bowl weekend, Friday brought us another ambiguous read on unemployment in the U.S. (nonfarm payrolls fell by 20,000 compared with a revised 150,000 decline in December BUT, the unemployment rate shrunk to 9.7% from December’s reading of 10%).  Markets will continue to put a heavy weight on these employment figures as well as pay attention to sovereign debt issues from the European Union.

On a lighter note, I’ve published a quick study on the Super Bowl Indicator that you might find interesting as well as posted a very amusing video clip showing NFL players being questioned about the state of US markets and the economy…fitting for Super Bowl Weekend.
