Gun and Ammunition Stocks on the Rise After Charleston Shooting

WSB Money Matters host Wes Moss says gun and ammunition stocks are generally higher after an event like the Charleston shooting.

Following the Charleston church shooting and the recent warnings about possible attacks on the fourth, gun sales have picked up.

WSB Money Matters host Wes Moss says gun and ammunition stocks are generally higher after an event like the Charleston shooting. He says they continue to perform well so it’s a good longer term investment.

He says one example, if you look at the past 5 years, Smith and Wesson is significantly higher than the S & P 500 and he says he thinks the trend will continue. “It doesn’t feel as though Americans need to protect themselves less moving forward so in my opinion these stocks should be good for a long period of time,” says Moss.
