This might be the most adorable home invasion story you’ve ever heard.
Hollie Mallet of Pierre Part, Louisiana noticed she had a frequent trespasser while looking through security footage in early May. She showed her husband the footage and they both decided they wanted to meet the little boy. So, Hollie turned to social media hoping to find her dog’s new friend. She posted the home security video to Facebook which now has over 3 million views.
“Attn Neighbors! Anyone know who this sweet little boy is? Every now and then when he rides his bike he will quickly come and love on my dog or play fetch real quick, but always leaves quick like he doesn’t know if he should be here! I’d like to tell him he’s welcome to stay and play, she loves the attention!”
How sweet is that?
The little boy’s name is Josh Breaux and he’s 9 years old. Ginger shared on Facebook that the Breaux family used to have a dog of their own but she sadly passed away last year. It turns out that Josh just needed some doggy love and hugs.
Hollie was glad to hear that her dog, Duchess, brought little Josh so much joy and they finally got the chance to meet him a few days later.
Hollie and Ginger both are happy to see the impact this story has made on social media. Hollie shared, “It’s a positive story and I’m so glad I was able to capture it on camera. It is just pure innocence and we’re so glad to have made a friend.”
It looks like Josh and Duchess will be seeing a lot more of each other from now on.
