Haagen-Dazs Has Released An Entire Line Of Ice Cream Based On Your Favorite Alcoholic Drinks

It’s the final dilemma at the end of an excellent dinner. How should you wrap it up? With a decadent dessert, or a rich, sweet nightcap like Gran Marnier?

Mercifully, the folks at Haagen-Dazs ice cream have provided a third option: boozy ice cream.

The New York-based treat makers recently unveiled a line of five new alcohol-laced flavors. Among the Haagen-Dazs Spirits offerings are Whiskey Chocolate Truffle, Rum Vanilla Caramel Blondie, Rum Ginger Cookie, Irish Cream Coffee and Biscotti and Vodka Key Lime Pie.

At one-percent alcohol content, these creamy dreamy confections won’t give you so much as a buzz. But, as many observers have noted, they are a perfect base for that super-trendy indulgence, an adult milkshake.

Sound too good to be true? Well, there is one significant problem with the Spirits ice creams: they are currently only sold in Canadian Walmarts. (And you thought Justin Trudeau was the hottest thing north of the border!) To date, Haagen-Dazs has been quiet on if and when Spirits will be available in the U.S.

But, hey, we’re Americans, rugged problem-solvers with a can-do attitude. So, cruise on over to delish.com and check out their 20 ideas for DIY tipsy desserts, including mimosa floats, margarita pops, rose sorbet and pina colada “nice cream.” In keeping with our sacred American freedom of choice, you can decide how much wallop to pack into these sweet delicacies.

God bless the USA.
