Last Monday, Netflix released a blog about their upcoming catalog of movie and TV show offerings, and while plenty of people are excited about all the Jurrasic Park movies coming our way next month (or is that just me?), the biggest announcement was given just a single sentence at the bottom of the article.
From September onwards, Netflix will become the exclusive US pay TV home of the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar.
That’s right people, starting in September Netflix will exclusively stream the latest films from Disney. I’m sure at this point Hulu and Amazon are sweating.
Considering that hefty line-up of movies includes Disney classics, Pixar’s masterpieces, some of the biggest superhero movies, AND all of the Star Wars movies, I think you’ll be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t have Netflix streaming in their house.
Personally, I’m excited for all the Disney sing-alongs that are sure to happen.
