Red Wine Is The Latest Super Food For Weight Loss

Red wine has numerous health benefits, but if the latest claims prove true, we’ll have to label it a true super food. Drinking red wine before bed, it seems, can help with weight loss.

It seems something called resveratrol in red wine converts “white fat” into “beige fat,” which is easier for your body to burn, according to research done at Washington State University. A Harvard Medical School study of 20,000 women over 13 years found that those who drank two glasses of red a day were 70% less likely to be overweight.

Resveratrol is also an appetite suppressant, so drinking red wine before bed may reduce your desire for a late night snack.

If you’re not a fan of the red wines, resveratrol can also be found in blueberries, strawberries and grapes. Sounds like a good argument for serving fruit cups for dessert!
