Cabos San Lucas, Mexico has long been a favored hideout for Hollywood A-listers and rock stars. Seems every time Jennifer Anniston got her heart broken the tabloids spotted her regrouping on Cabos’ pristine beaches. In recent years the area, located at the southern tip Baja California peninsula, has been booming as non-stars discover the joys of escaping into its gorgeous scenery and small town vibe.
Ritz-Carlton is the latest company to bet big on Cabos’ popularity the company is building a 27-home resort community with houses starting at $4.2 million. That’s a lot of money but, in fairness, you get a lotta house – 6,000 square feet with five bedrooms and your own pool. The homes’ open architecture allows for great views while the modern stone architecture reflects the rocky desert environment.
If you want to get out of the house, The Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Los Cabos development has three miles of private beaches, two golf courses, and a marina able to accommodate your 400-foot yacht. (Seriously. 400 feet.)
Of course, if you’re still on the fence about whether to pony up that kind of dough, you can still enjoy everything Cabo has to offer for significantly less, especially in the off-season. Start planning your movie-star-style getaway here.
