As long as you apply for a card that you’ll qualify for and will manage well, I see no reason why it wouldn’t lead to an even higher credit score than you have today.

So, before you apply, evaluate each card’s terms and conditions carefully to figure out which card will be the best fit for you. Based on what you’ve written, I don’t think I need to warn you against the temptation to overcharge so you can build up maximum rewards points, but just in case, don’t do it.
